Independence Square
This analysis of Independence Square as it moves through the city on an east-west axis proposes appropriate uses and strategies that include fountains, sculptures, pedestrian routes, vehicular routes, parking, and landscaping. The scheme as designed was regrettably not built but remains a fine piece of urban design that was a forerunner of the work that was eventually carried out by others.
