Private Residence
Perched along a ridge, this house addresses the clients’ taste for modern architecture whilst providing a backdrop for their collection of art and dramatising the panoramic views of the Gulf of Paria. The large double height volume of the living/dining area is balanced by the circular volume that houses the kitchen and guest flat above. Bedrooms are located along each wing. Large overhangs and a brise soleil address rain and sun control. The tinted, heat strengthened glass meets the clients’ security requirements as well as hurricane codes, and maximizes views with little glare.
