San Fernando Transit Hub
This study conducted for the city of San Fernando entailed the design of a transportation terminus, connecting the towns and villages north and south of San Fernando, the primary connection terminals being San Fernando and Port of Spain. The proposed site is on the coast, about five miles outside of the town centre. The hub is designed to accommodate a combination of buses and route taxis, totaling 450 vehicles. Though preceding the establishment of the Water Taxi service, the facility was designed to embrace the sea, as opposed to turning its back to the water, a typical flaw of this coastal city.
